Why the software can not link with database after installation?

  • Insufficient Permissions:

    • Reason: The system operator cannot write to the installation directory.
    • Solution: Change the directory permissions or install the software in a directory where the user has write access.
  • Database Issues:

    • Reason: The software uses Microsoft MDAC 2.8, and issues may arise if the database installation is incomplete (this often occurs with pirated software), if access is blocked by a firewall, or if the database is damaged by a virus or antivirus software.
    • Solution:
      • Disable the firewall.
      • Scan for and remove any viruses, then reinstall the software.
      • If the problem persists, reinstall the operating system and try again.

Why some Menus, Toolbar Buttons, Setup Interfaces, Views and Properties can not be found?

The Software has Expert Mode and Non-expert Mode. Under Non-expert Mode, many functions will be hidden. Please click main menu “Platform” ->”Expert Mode”.

Why some Menus, Toolbar Buttons, Setup Interfaces, Views and Properties are unusable?

Possible reasons are:
a. User has no permission to use this function.
b. The order is not applicable in this case.
c. The selected component can not be deleted or changed.
d. When several components are selected at the same time, some orders can not be applied.

What can be done if some windows are hidden or the layout has completely changed?

The easiest solution is to click “View” → “Restore View Layout” in the main menu. For hidden windows, users can reopen them by selecting the corresponding option in the “View” menu.

Why are some records lost during uploading?

Possible reasons include:
a. The user did not upload the records before initializing the controller, restoring factory default settings, or downloading setup configurations.
b. Memory is full, causing older records to be overwritten by new ones.
c. Users presented the card too quickly, preventing the reader from properly reading it.

What can be done if the login password is forgotten?

Users can pack the database and send it to Visionis for assistance. It is strongly recommended to manage passwords effectively to avoid such issues.

Why is the "Save" button still unusable after making changes to a property?

Possible reasons include:
a. The user did not press “Enter” to confirm the change (alternatively, they can left-click on any other property to confirm).
b. The modified parameter is identical to the existing value in the database, so saving is not necessary.
